Yes, all bartenders with A Great Mix are both certified and insured.

The general rule is one bartender for 50-75 people depending on the type of bar and the service required. For example, a wedding with full bar service would require two bartenders for 100 or more people.

Our calendar fills quickly so we suggest that you reserve our services as soon as you book your date and location.

If your event is taking place at a public venue like a hall or arena, you will need a Special Occasion Permit (SOP). You do not need a permit if your event is taking place on private property. If you need a permit we can help you secure it or take care of it for you.

It is always helpful to have insurance in case something unexpected happens at your event. Liquor Liability insurance covers losses or injuries related to activities involving alcohol. Special Event and General Liability insurance covers losses resulting from non-liquor related activities. We can help you review your venue rental agreement and/or home insurance policy to make sure you have sufficient coverage. If you need more insurance, we can help you secure the right kind.

Yes. Based on your event and guest list, you can buy your own alcohol with the guidelines we provide or we can make the purchase for you.

Yes, we can take care of all your bar supplies as well as condiments, mixes, ice and bar rentals. These rentals include portable bars and additional glassware.

Our bartenders are “attired as desired”. While planning for your event we can discuss what you would like our bar staff to wear. They can dress in black tie, golf shirts or in keeping with your theme. All our staff can be identified by A Great Mix name tags.

All of our bartenders are experienced and trained to deal with the potential consequences of alcohol. During your event they will silently monitor guests. If a situation occurs, our bartenders will diffuse the situation in a friendly and tactful manner.
